The Bhote Koshi River is probably one of the best rafting locations in the world. Originating from the Tibetan plateau, this pure roaring river flows down steep gorges down to the south of Nepal, thus adding a rugged flow into its mass. Starting from the base of a mountain, the Bhotekoshi River is added up in terms of potential and speed thus making it a haven for a white water enthusiast. The lower levels of the Bhotekoshi offer Class III rafting opportunities while the higher levels offer Class IV and Class V rafting. It is to be noted that the earthquake that shook the nation back in April, 2015 has had no effect on the safety and the thrill of rafting in the Bhotekoshi.

This challenging river which offers both rafting and kayaking opportunities is easily accessed from the capital of Kathmandu. The dramatically adventurous and bouncy river offers breathtaking rapids which will provide the experience of a lifetime to thrill seekers. Depending upon the expertise of the rafters and the need of the thrill seekers, the Upper Bhotekoshi or the Lower Bhotekoshi can be selected for this adventure. The best time to carry out this adventure is at the time of March to April or October to December.
