CHOLATSE PEAK CLIMBING
Cholatse is a word of Tibetan language which can be understood by Cho means Lake, La means pass and Tse mean peak. Combining all these words Cholatse means Lake Pass peak. Simply, it means the peak is just above the lake. This peak is also known by another name JoboLhaptshan. It is a popular mountain present in the Khumbu region of the Nepalese Himalaya. It is said that Cholatse peak (6440m) is slightly hard to climb than any other peak or some higher mountain present in Nepal. This peak has many spectacular views with narrow snow and steep faces. Cholatse peak climbing is linked to Tobache (6501m) by a long ridge. In the east face, the Chola glacier has moved and inclined downward. The east and north faces of the Cholatse can be very clearly seen from the Dughla which is on the path to Mount Everest base camp. The path for Cholatse peak climbing passes through the Sherpa village which is simple but full of traditions.
Mount Cholatse peak climbing is firstly starting the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Trekking from Lukla to Khumbu then leads you to Phakding upon going into the pine forest. Phakding will bring you to Namche Bazaar which is all the way through the blue pine and rhododendron. For protecting against the altitude sickness a rest day will be separated. The trail full of steep faces will take us to Dole from Namche Bazaar. Then you can process to Gokyo and continue trekking to Cholatse Base Camp. And finally to the summit of Cholatse peak. Enjoying on the base camp and returning with the memories and photos all the way down to Namche and to the departure from Lukla.
It is comparatively hard to climb this peak so everyone cannot be able to climb this peak. This is difficult to reach and come back from the summit. Being successful to climb the peak at the first time without any expert mountaineering is impossible. Everyone must take proper equipment for climbing.
