Chulu East Peak Climbing

Chulu East Peak, which is situated in an area high above the Managng valley, has established itself as one of the most popular peaks in the Manang region. It has been categorized as a trekking peak and consists of the defined North East Ridge with the extremely beautiful views of the Annapurna I, II, II and IV along with Dhaulaigiri, Manaslu, Tilicho as well as the Gangapurna. The climb up the peak will certainly be a rewarding experience with the views of the exquisite peaks to look at and the adventure of the icy ridge to be experienced.

Day 01:

Arrival in Kathmandu

Today we arrive in the capital Kathmandu and take the rest of our day off by strolling around the streets or relishing the unique Nepali cuisine. 

Day 02:

Sightseeing around Kathmandu

Kathmandu, the capital of the beautiful country of Nepal, offers the chances to view the extremely beautiful and ancient architectural beauty of Nepal. Filled with architectural delights, it is home to several UNESCO World Heritage sites including the Patan, Kathmandu and the Bhaktapur Durbar Square which can be visited. We also have the chances to visit the Syambunath as well as the BoudanathStupaand observe the Pashupatinath Temple form a distance where foreigners are not allowed. We will also prepare for the upcoming climb.

Day 03:

Kathmanu- Besisahar- Bhulbhule

Today, we will embark of a beautiful drvie via the Trishuli River and into the depths of greenery into Besishar and end our day in Bhulbhule. This drive will leave us tired and we will spend the night here.

Day 04:

Bhulbhule- Chamje (1410m)

Today, we will start our trek. We will move along the MarshyangdiValleyo to a steep area with a V Shape. Upon following the winding path through the mountains, we will reach Syange with a beautiful waterfall and then climb in an inclined slope to a cliff face. The trail now follows some minor ups and does before ending in Chamje for today.

Day 05:

Chanje- Dharapani (1401m- 1960m)

Today, we will start our trek with a descending path towards the Masrsyangdhi River and the path takes up some incline after crossing a suspension bridge. The ath will then pass through Sattale to a downwards path, a zigzag area through the hill as well as a grassy riverbank with its hotels and teahouses. Here, we get the chance to view the beautiful waterfalls which will then take us through a narrowing path. After some more cliff walking, we will reach Karte and after a suspension bridge we will reach Dharapani with its Mani marked stone.

Day 06:

Dharapani- Chame (1960m- 2675m)

Today, we will embark on a trek to Chame. The pathway showcases the beautiful Annapurna II mastiff lying proud and tall in front of us. We will now pass through the Bhote village of Bagarchhap with his fluttering color flags and Buddhist monastery. Through pine and oak forests, we will reach Danaque. This will now lead us on to Chame before which we pass through the village of Danaque. Chame is a area dull of shops, hotels and offices.

Day 07:

Chame- Pisang (2675m- 3100m)

Today,we will start off on a trek to Pisang. The path is adorned by the beautiful view of the LamjungHimal and the views disappers after we climb up the valley. After passing a huge apple orchard, we will pass along the fir and pine forests and move along a steep sided path Bhratang. We will now try our best to walk along a v shapre valley to a gentle U shape with a wonderful vista. The Annapurna II and the Pisang Peak are readily available to be seen through Pisang with its long Mani wall.

Day 08:

Pisang- Ngwal (3100m- 3657m)

Today, we move to Ngwal is a short six hour trek with the day ending in the beautiful village of Ngwal.

Day 09:

Ngwal- Chulu East Base Camp (3657m- 5140m)

Today, we will be ending our day in the base camp of the Chulu East where we will be starting our peak climb. The short five hour trek is followed by adequately resting for the next day.

Day 10:

Chulu East Base Camp- High Camp of Chulu East and return

We will firstly climb the High Camp, which will then be followed by descending back to the Base Camp 

Day 11:

Climb the Chulu East- Base Camp

Today is the day we have been waiting for, for all these days, today will be the day we will be able to reach the top of the Chulu East peak and take in the expressive beauty showcased by the beautiful mountain scenery of Nepal. Upon reaching the top, we will be awarded with the spectacle of the pristine snowcapped peaks all around us.

Day 12:

Chulu East Base Camp- Manang

Today, we will start off with the trek from the Chulu East Base Camp and our day will end at Manang.

Day 13:

Manang- Yak Kharkha (4350m)

As the name states, The Yak Kharka is a place full of grazing yaks. The trail starts off with a gradual ascend through the Yak Kharka and finally up to Gunsang. Panoramic views of the snowcapped peaks will adorn the region and this day will be brought to an end on reaching the Yak Kharka.

Day 14:

Yak Kharka- ThorongPhedi (4350m- 4420m)

Today, we will start off with a trek to the Throng Phedi. The trail starts off with a gradual climb before reaching the Masryangdi Valley headquarters and finally a wooden bridge. The trail will then be followed by an ascend up the path on the right, followed by the passage to a spree slope and finally to the beautiful viewpoint and village of Throng Phedi which is full of views of the exquisite mountain peaks.

Day 15:

ThorongPhedi- Throng La Pass- Muktinath (4420m- 5416m- 3850m)

ThorongPhedi is the base to the Thorong La Pass. The pass can be reached via a steep and well defined path. After this path, the gradient slowly decreases as well reach the areas adorned with prayer flags and chortens. The views from the Thorong La Pass are exotic to say the least, the pass showcases the exquisite and pretty views of the extremely beautiful peaks all around. After having witnessed this spectacle, we will be descending down to the purple hills of Mustang to the pilgrimage site of Muktinath where we will spend the rest of our day.

Day 16:

Muktinath- Jomsom (3850m- 2713m)

One can breathe in the exclusive views of the mountain peaks of the Annapurna region and also visit the pilgrimage site and temple of Muktinath before setting off on a path to Jomsom. The path will be comparatively flat and easier.

Day 17:

Jomsom- Pokhara

We will fly from Jomsom to Pokhara today. The short half hour flight can be followed by visiting the extremely beautiful leaks and museums as well as the caves situated in Pokhara. We will stroll around the streets of the beautiful tourist destination of Pokhara today.

Day 18:

Pokhara- Kathmandu

The travel from Pokhara to Kathmandu will be done through a drive. The drive will involve the passage through beautiful terraced farms and mountain views. The green beauty of Nepal will mesmerize you and the roaring Trishuli below gives the chills to every person. We will reach Kathmandu and spend the rest of the day strolling around the streets and tasting the unique Nepali cuisine.

Day 19:

Sightseeing around Kathmandu

As mentioned earlier, Kathmandu is home to the most beautiful and important World Heritage sites which can be observed in peace. A city tour will help soothe your aching muscles and understand the ambience of the capital of Nepal.

Departure

Today, we will depart from the capital of this beautiful county, back to our homes, only to come back for more in the time to come.
