LobucheEast Peak Climbing

Lobuche Peak has established itself as one of the most summited in the Everest Region. It consists of two peaks, with heights of 6119 m and 6145 m respectively each of which are called the east and the west peaks.  Both of the peaks are connected by a ridge.

The path through the Everest Base Camp is required to embark on this peak climbing expedition. We will also be climbing the exclusive glacier of Kala Patthar which offers the mind boggling and unforgettable views of the Everest. This area also serves as an acclimatization area.

The Lobuche is a dark triangle entity and is situated above the Khumbu Glacier. Upon reaching the top, the exclusive views of the Mt, Everest, Tawache, AmaDablam as well as Cholaste can be observed. The trip is an adventurous activity, which is recommended to all kinds of thrill seekers from all around the world.

Day 01:

Arrival at Kathmandu (1300)

Today, you will drop down to the capital of this beautiful country of Nepal. Upon being transferred to the hotel, enjoy the ambience of the city or relish the unique Nepali cuisine because you will be busy from the next day.

Day 02:

Sightseeing around Kathmandu

Kathmandu is probably one of the most historically rich areas in Nepal. We can visit the architectural delights like the Bhaktapur, Kathmandu and the Patan Durbar Square as well as Syambunath and Boudhanath.  Spend the rest of the day preparing adequately for the upcoming trek.

Day 03:

Kathmandu- Lukla- Phakding(1300m- 2886m- 2640m)

Today, we will embark on one of the most scenic flights in the Himalayan country of Nepal. This flight will give you the views of the majestic views of the peaks like the Everest including many more. This flight only takes about half an hour but is one of the most adventurous flights.

Upon arrival at Lukla, we will move along and start our trek this very day to reach Phakding. A gentle climb up the mountainside will be followed by the passage through the bank of the DudhKoshi River. Also included are the chances to view the Mt. Nuptse from the Kongde Ridge as well as the Mt Kusum Kang along the far end.

Day 04:

Phakding- Namche Bazaar (2640m- 3440m)

Namche Bazaar is the central hub of the Everest region and is known to be the ancient trade route to Tibet. Today, our destination is this wonderful village surrounded by mountains on three sides. It also faces BhoteKoshi to the south

Day 05:

Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar

To remove the possibility of Altitude Mountain Sickness, we need to acclimatize properly with the altitude all along the way. This can be achieved by moving around and visiting the extremely beautiful areas situated near Namche Bazaar. We have the option to visit a monastery from where the views of AmaDablam, Nuptse, Tawoche, Thamserkuetc are visible. Another option is to move up to Syanboche and up to the Everest View Hotel to observe the views of the same mountains in a different angle.

Day 06:

Namche Bazaar- Tyangboche (3440m- 3867m)

Today we will embark on a trek from Namche Bazaar to the village of Tyangboche. The passage includes a climb through a frosted zone, followed by the easing of the incline. At this point, exclusive views of the mountain peaks. A diagonal climb will bring us to the stone gate which marks the entry point to Tyangboche and was built by Lamas.

Day 07:

Tyangboche- Dingboche (3867m- 4260m)

Today, we will trek to Dingboche. It is a beautiful patchwork of terraced fields. There are also stone walls which protect the crops like the potatoes, buckwheat and many more from the harsh winds. 

Day 08:

Acclimatization at Dingboche

This is another day which will be put aside for acclimatization. The village offers some breath taking views of the AmaDablam, Lhotse Nuptse ridge as well as the path up to the Island peak. You can look around the valley or another option is to move up to Chhukum. The area is known for the extremely beautiful views of the peaks like Tawoche, AmaDablam, Makalu and many more.

Day 09:

Dingboche- Lobuche (4260m- 4930m)

Today, our destination is Lobuche. The journey starts with a north upward path which will finally take us to Mani prayer stupa. The trail now follows a downward path to the village of Periche and all along the way you will be rewarded with the views of the exclusive peaks like the Tawache, Nuptse, Pokalde, amaDablam as well as the KongmaTse. Further upwards, we will reach the village of Lobuche through the wooden bridge to Durga.

Day 10:

Lobuche- Lobuche Base Camp

Today, we will reach the base camp of the Lobuche Peak. A flat path, followed by a steep ascent will take us to the Lobuche Base Camp. The path however is a bit tricky and rocky and reaches the Lobuche Glacier. The spectacular views of the CholaTse, AmaDablam, Tawoche and Thamserku among many others will make you forget the difficulty of the path in no time.

Day 11:

Acclimatization at the Lobuche Base Camp

To remove the possibility of altitude sickness, we will be resting and strolling in the base camp today. Preparations for the summit are also mandatory.

Day 12:

Summit the Peak- Base Camp

Today will be an important day for us as we will be summiting the extremely beautiful Lobuche Peak. Upon reaching the top, all the pain and ache of the journey will be forgotten as you will be rewarded with the views of the peaks like the Nuptse, Lhotse, Everest, Cholatse, Changri, Pumori and many more.  After this incredible experience, we will return back to the base camp and rest adequately after making our hearts content for the experience gathered up above.

Day 13:

Base Camp- Dingboche

We will now retrace our path back to where we began, staring from Dingboche. The path is a downhill one and passes through Dugla. Spectacular views of all the mountain peaks will make the path easier and more memorable.

Day 14:

Dingboche- Tyangboche

We will return back to Tyangboche today. The path is a descending one up until Deboche. Further from this beautiful village, the path follows an ascending path for quite some time until we reach our destination for today. Enchanted by the views of the peaks like the Kangtega, Lobuche, Lhotse, amaDablam, Everest and Thamserku we will pass the villages of Shomare and Pangboche to reach Tyangboche.

Day 15:

Tyangboche- Namche Bazaar

We will return back to Namche Bazaar today. The downhill and busy path is a scenic and winding one. We will be passing through the traditional villages situated in the region, allowing us to mix in with the ethnic inhabitants living with peace and harmony in the region. We will be passing through the Khumjung village, the Khundu village and finally reach the hub of Everest, Namche Bazaar.

Day 16:

Namche Bazaar- Lukla

This day will mark the end of our spectacular trekking itinerary. Starting off from Namche Bazaar, the trek will move into the village of Monjo. From here, the path takes us to Lukla. The path consists of a short up and down path but is pleasant mostly, as it is adorned with the views of the pretty Himalayas.

Day 17:

Lukla- Kathmandu

Today, we will again be boarding on the same spectacular flight back to Kathmandu. The mountains that we observed so close by will appear a little far away from up above the clouds but equally majestic. We will reach back to Kathmandu in almost half an hour and the rest of the day can be spent strolling around and buying souvenirs.

Day 18:

Sightseeing around Kathmandu

Full of culture, history and architectural beauty, many places in Kathmandu are worth visiting. The roaming of the city of Kathmandu can be done today. Also we can buy souvenirs for people back home today.

Day 19:

Departure

We will depart from Nepal today, with our heart content for what we have achieved and also heavy for having to depart from the beautiful country. With the pictures of the trip in our camera and the views and experiences in our minds, we depart with the promise to come back for more soon.
