Mount Everest Expedition

Day 01:

Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)

The expedition to the top of the Everest commences with the arrival to the capital of the beautiful country of Nepal. Upon arrival at the Kathmandu airport, you shall be taken into a hotel where you can relax and dream about the success that is to be achieved in the upcoming days. You can also enjoy the exquisite Nepali cuisine and observe the extremely unique tradition and values represented by Nepal.

Day 02:

Around Kathmandu

Kathmandu boasts the amalgamation of extremely varied culture and traditions along with the presence of several architectural designs and buildings worth visiting. The fascinating city of Kathmandu is home to the famous Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Squares which houses several architectural designs. Another site worth visiting is the Monkey Temple (Syambunath) which is a must go-to destination for tourists around the world. This day can also be dedicated to going around the UNESCO World Heritage Sites situated around the valley. Some preparation for the upcoming big event can be carried out in this day too. You will also be meeting up with fellow guides and friends who will be joining you for the expedition.

Day 03:

Around Kathmandu

This day too will be dedicated to shop for the upcoming trek and take a trip to UNESCO certified world heritage sites situated in the capital.

Day 04:

Kathmandu- Lukla- Phadking (1300-2840m)

This day will start with a scenic flight to the beautiful Lukla. The flight to Lukla is one of the most beautiful air routes in Nepal which culminates the dramatic landing on a hillside. Surrounded by high mountain peaks, the extremely adventurous flight showcases the views of several mountain peaks around the Khumbu region. After landing, the trek commences. After the passage through the prosperous village of Lulka, be move forward until we reach Phadking. The clean and well-built lodges in Phadking are extremely mind blowing to look at. 

Day 05:

Phadking- Namche Bazar (2840-3450m)

This day will be targeted towards trekking into the prosperous city of Namche Bazaar. The trek will include the passage through the banks of the Dudh Koshi. Through two suspension bridges, the village of Monjo will be reached. Upon entering the Khumbu National Park, we cross the confluence of the Dush Kosi and the Bhote Kosi. After wlaking for 2 more hours, we reach the capital of the Khumbu region, Namche Bazaar.

Day 06:

Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar

For ensuring no health problems, acclimatization for a day in Namche Bazaar is extremely mandatory. Namche Bazaar is the ancient trade route between Nepal and Tibet and is a prosperous town which consists of genuine Tibetan artifacts. Its important not to remain idle on this day and it is extremely important to stay active to ensure no health problems. Exploring the beautiful Namche Bazaar will be an extremely good idea. Namche Bazaar consists of ATMs, Internet cafes, shops and several restaurants all situated in the back drop of an extremely scenic area. We can visit the Tourist Visitor Center as well as the headquarter of the Sagarmatha National Park which will help us understand more about the expedition we are about to embark upon. Also observable are the various flora and fauna situated in the region.

Day 07:

Namche Bazaar- Tyangboche (3450-3867m)

The worn out Everest trail will contour around the side of the valley above the Dudh Kosi River today. with the chances to savor the good views of the great peaks situated in the Khumbu region, this day’s trek will allow us to view the Lhotse, Everest, Ama Dablam as well as the Nuptse mastiffs. Day 08:

Tyangboche- Dingboche (3867- 4260m)

Upon passing through several Chortens and Mani walls, we trek to Dingboche today. With the close up views of Ama Dablam, the trek today will be an extremely rewarding one. The entire path is shaded by rhododendron trees. An airy suspension bridge is situated in the way and we reach Pangboche. Pangboche is an excellent viewpoint for the Ama Dablam. We cross the valley side as well as the river there and turn upwards to the Imja valley, thus reaching Dingboche finally.

Day 09:

Acclimatization on Dingboche

Acclimatization on Dingboche is absolutely important to ensure that no health problems remain. Dingboche is a picturesque farming village which is a good location for acclimatization and for roaming around. The outings to the adjacent hills around will be targeted tp provide gradual acclimatization. To expose to the altitude, it is important to walk around some of the nearby hills. Today you will be provided with a seminar on the high altitude acclimatization by the Himalayan Rescue Association. 

Day 10:

Dingboche- Lobuje (4260m- 4930m)

We now retrace the path back to Preiche and continue up to the trail which leads to the Base camp of the massive Everest. We reach Dugla which is situated just below the snout of the massive and beautiful Khumba Glacier. After a lunch here, we climb up a moraine beside the glacier, taking us to the cluster of teahouses situated on the beautiful location of Lobuje.

Day 11:

Lobuje- Everest Base Camp

Today, we contour along the valley side which looks down below to the beautiful Khumbu Glacier. We follow a trail to the beautiful Gorak Shep amalgamated by views of the icy peaks of the Khumbu region. We leave Gorak Shep with its cluster of tea houses and move towards the moraine of the Khumbu glacier. Between mounds of rubble, we reach the base camp in the foot of the Khumbu Icefall and rest for the next six weeks in this area.

Day 16:

- 18: Rest and preparation

These three days will be targeted towards the acclimatization to the impending high altitudes and the preparation for carrying out the extremely thrilling Everest Expedition.

Day 18:

- 45: Ascent of Mt Everest

The vantage point for the acclimatization for the Everest Base Camp Trek is the Everest Base Camp. To ascent upwards to the Everest, we climb up the short peak called the Kala Patthar which offers the views of the hypnotic and mighty Everest. Camp 1 will be placed at the height of 6400 m and after acclimatizing for a few days in the Camp 1, we reach upwards to the altitude of 6400 m where the Camp 2 is set. Camp 3 is set at the height of 7100 m above the Lhotse Wall and Camp 4 is at a distance of 8400 m. the passage into the Camp 4 is done via the large chunks of ice. The slippery and steep path makes the rest of the 500 meter climb an adventurous and risky deal. We reach the summit and return back triumphant on the same day and slowly ascend downwards to the Everest Base Camp.

Day 46:

Everest Base Camp

We withdraw back to the Everest Base Camp, after having achived one of the greatest victories in mountain climbing. 

Day 46:

-48: Everest Base Camp- Dingboche- Tyangboche- Namche Bazaar (3450m)

We retrace the adventurous path to Namche Bazaar, proud with all the accomplishments achieved in the past days.

Day 49:

Namche Bazaar- Lukla

This day will be dedicated towards trekking back to the place where we started. We retrace the stpes back to Lukla, amalgamated with the views of the extremely beautiful mountain peaks like the Lhotse, Nuptse, Mount Everest and the Ama Dablam.

Day 50:

Lukla- Kathmandu

Content with everything that has been achieved and happy with having reached the top of the world, we take a scenic flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla, thus bringing an end to the trek.

Day 51:

Departure

After the extremely beautiful and heart throbbing expedition to the top of the world, we return back home with our hearts content and our finds freshened up after one of the best expeditions in the world.
