Naya Kanga Peak

Naya kanga Peak has established itself to be one of the most popular peak climbing trekking trips to Nepal. Also known as the Ganja Chuli peak, it is situated in the Langtang Region. The panoramic peak climbing will take trekkers into the delights of the panorama of the extremely variant and beautiful Langtang region. The path up to the top of the peak will amalgamate the views of the forests, traditional settlements and will also offer the chance to mix in with eh ethnic inhabitants living in the region.

Day 01:

Arrival in Kathmandu

We reach from our respective locations to the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu on this day. If we have time, we can stroll around the streets of this beautiful historic city or relishing the exquisite Nepali cuisine. 

Day 02:

Sightseeing around Kathmandu

Today we will be spending the day looking around at the World Heritage sites including the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square as well as the Patan Durbar Square. We will also manage to prepare for the upcoming tour and understand the details about it from the authorities. We will also manage our climbing equipment and get ready for the climb.

Day 03:

Kathmandu- Syabrubesi

Today, we embark on a drive from the capital of Nepal to the beautiful Syabrubesi situated in the Langtang region. The path is adorned with the passage through the sounds of the roaring Trishuli along the path. Through terraced fields and green villages, we move into the somewhat dry Langtang region and end our day in Syabrubesi adorned with scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas.

Day 04:

Syabruesi- Lama Hotel

We commence our trek today and move on to the Lama Hotel. We will cross through the beautiful and roaring Bhote Koshi to the Langtang Khola. Ascending up through the Bamboo fields, the trail ascends slowly up to Rimche and finally to the region called Bamboo. Upon moving up further, we will reach the Lama Hotel where we will spend the night.

Day 05:

Lama Hotel- Langtang village (3430m)

We will trek via the Ghore Tabal to Langtang Village today. the trek will be about six hour long and is amalgamated with the glimpses of the beautiful Langtang Lirung amongst the dense tress. We will reach the Ghora Tabel from where the trail emerges from the forest and there existed a Tibetan refugee settlement here before. The trial climbs gently upwards and through a widened valley we reach the beautiful Langtang Village.

Day 06:

Langtang Village- Kyangjin (3430m- 3870m)

Today, we will be embarking on a short trek from Langtang Village to Kyangjin. The trial has a gradual climb through small villages and yak pastures. The valley opens out further from this point and passes through moraines and streams. Upon reaching the settlement of Kyangjin, we will be visiting the beautiful Kyangjin gompa. The village is situated in a dramatic setting and has the views of the incredible snow covered peaks surrounding us in all directions. The peaks like the Langtang Ri, Langtang Lirung as well as the Dorja Lakpa will be there to rest our eyes upon.

Day 07:

Acclimatization at Kyangjin Gompa

Today, we will spend the day acclimatizing with the altitude at the Kyangjin Gompa. It is recommended to stroll around and hike properly to avoid altitude sickness. We will visit the cheese factory as well as the monastery. Other activities include moving on to observe the spectacular ice faces and glaciers of the Langtang Lirung.  We also have the option to ascend up to the Kyangjin Ri, which is a viepoint for observing the majestic peaks of the Langtang area.

Day 08:

Kyangjin Gompa- Nyengang Kharka (3870m-4430m)

Today, we will start our day by descending for about some time before we get to cross the suspension bridge over the Langtang Khola. The trail will now follow an uphill path to reach the Nyengang Karkha through juniper shrubs. On the way, we will be rewarded with the views of the majestic Langtang Glaicer as well as the Langtang Lirung Himal.

Day 09:

Nyengang Kharka- Nay Kang High Camp (4430m- 4960m)

Today’s trek will be a comparatively shorter one. We will start off with a steep ascent upwards before reaching the High Camp. We will trek along the icy as well as a rocky glacier to enjoy the views of the majestic peaks like the Kibgyu Ri, Ganchenpo Peak, Tserko Ri as well as the Langtang Lirung all along the way.

Day 10:

Rest at Naya Kang High Camp.

Today will be a day for acclimatizing with the altitude so it is recommended that trekkers move around instead of resting the entire day. We will practice and plan for the upcoming summit to the top of the Naya Kanga Peak.

Day 11:

Climbing Naya Kanga- Nyengang Kharka

Today will be a challenging day as we will be climbing the Naya Kanga Peak. The icy op offers the panoramic views of the mountains and icy peaks situated in the Langtang Region and will boggle our minds. The ascent to the top is an adventurous one with extremely beautiful views of the snowcapped pristine peaks all around us. After having witnessed the spectacle there, we will be returning back to the base camp, taking some rest and walking back to the Nyengang Kharka where we will spend the night.

Day 12:

Nyengang Kharka- Kyangjin Gompa

Today, we will be trekking back to the Kyangjin Gompa form the Nyengang Kharka and this will take a shorter than yesterday’s trek. We will pass along a downhill path and cross a suspension bridge to reach the Kyangjin Gompa. Rest of the day can be used to look around the area.

Day 13:

Kyangjin Gompa- Lama Hotel

Today, we will trek back from the Kyangjin Gompa to the Lama Hotel. Retracing our path, we will follow the Langtang Khola to the Langtang Village and reach Ghora Tabela before descending steeply down to the Lama Hotel.

Day 14:

Lama Hotel- Thulo Syabru (2130 m)

This day, we will deviate from our path a little and reach Thulo Syabru. With a retrace of the apth undertaken before, we will reach the Thulo syabru and end our day there in a hotel.

Day 15:

Thulo Syabru- Sing Gompa (2130m- 3330m)

Today, we will steeply climb through the oak, fir and rhododendron forests to reach Sing Gompa. After we reach the top of a ridge, a short descent will take us to the beautiful Sing Gompa. 

Day 16:

Sing Gompa- Dhunche (3330m- 2030m)

Today, we will embark on a short downhill trek nto Ghatte Khola and finally to Dhunche. Along the path, we will pass through forests, the village Dimsa with its terraced farming, a leveled pathway and finally to Dhunche where we will spend the night.

Day 17:

Dhunche- Kathmandu (1300m)

We will drive back from Dhunche to Kathmandu today. The path through the wild and roaring Trishuli and houses of ancient design followed by terraced fields will make the path a lot easier and fun to embark upon. 

Day 18:

Free Day in Kathmandu

Today, we can visit all the remaining world heritage sites left to visit and can also buy souvenirs for our loved ones back home. 

Day 19:

Departure

With our hearts content and filled with the excitement of the task that has been completed, we will finally return back to our respective destination’s, only with the promise to actually come back for more.
