Pokalde Peak climbing
Pokalde Peak has rightly established itself to be one of the most popular peaks to climb, situated in the Everest region of Nepal. It is situated at a height of 5806 m and was climbed firstly on 1953. Though a smaller peak, it is a good viewpoint which offers the exclusive views of the peaks like the Pumori and the Lho La up-close. The stunning views, amalgamated by the climb up the extremely tricky peak, makes Pokade Peak climbing an experience which is a must to be carried out.
With a small hanging glacier and a crenulated rocky ridge, this peak was previously called the Mehra Peak. It rises above the Khumbu glacier and is situated alongside Lobuje. It can be seen from the Gorakshep and has a diamond shaped hanging glacier. Though listed as a group B climbing peak, it can be climbed without any climbing gears but only ropes near the top.
