Tukuche Peak Climbing
Tukuche Peak, at a height of 6,920 meters above the sea level, is not as popular as the other peak climbing options of the Annapurna Region, but this expedition offers as much enjoyment and thrill as the other expeditions of this region. This peak is considered one of the most exotic peak climbing destinations of the country.
The Tukuche Peak Climbing Expedition will take the trekkers toward the pure land of the Manang and Annapurna Region. Hike up and down along the trails with scarce vegetation and dry rocky trails. Also, get a ton of chances to get sightings of the mammals, birds, and flowers conserved by the Annapurna Conservation Area. What’s more, trekkers will also have a chance to get pronounced with the culture, values, and norms of the local people of the region.
This peak climbing trip to the Tukuche Peak takes approximately 27 days to complete but, this can also be tailored according to the routes and number of activities. Also, find the opportunity to enjoy the sweet local apples of Jomsom and the famous local wine of Marpha. Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu from our respective start points. Freshen up and stroll around the typical streets of the historical city and relinquish in its delicious cuisine for dinner.
Sightseeing around Kathmandu
On this day, we will spend the day looking around the World Heritages of the Kathmandu valley. We will visit the UNESCO listed sites such as the three Durbar Squares of the Kathmandu Valley and then make preparations for our tour starting from the next day. Also, manage all of our climbing equipment and prepare ourselves for the glorious climb a few days later.
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara
Cover 204.5 kilometers of land as we travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara along the Prithvi Highway. Drive along the Trishuli River. Feel the zigzag hilly roads and the sounds of the flowing Trishuli River. Rest and feel the cool moist air of the Cherrapunji of Nepal.
Flight from Pokhara to Jomsom and Trek to Marpha
Get on an early flight to Jomsom! Stroll around the place for a couple of hours before starting our hike towards the village of Marpha. Hike along the Annapurna Circuit Trails to get to Marpha. The village offers views of the glaciers and high hills lurking back in the corner. The place is famous for is apple liquor called Marpha. Explore the village and also one of the oldest monasteries of the region, the Solmi Gompa.
Marpha to Yak Kharka
Hike along the sparse vegetation and dry landscape to get to the village of Yak Kharka. The trek today is an easy 4-5 hours walk uphill. As the name suggests, this place is filled with Yak herders.
Acclimatization Day at Yak Kharka
We will spend the day acclimatizing to the climate and altitude of the Yak Kharka to be safe from the Altitude Mountain Sickness. Today, we will stroll around the village and get conversant with the local Gurung people and other trekkers hiking along the Annapurna Circuit Trek. While in Yak Kharka, we can set afoot on the cheese factory of the place which specializes in making yak cheese.
Yak Kharka to Hidden Valley
An arduous trek for the day! As the trails are all tapered by yaks and blue mountain sheep, the trek takes at least 8 hours. Hike until we get up to the Thapa Pass and then after passing the trail, the trail drips down towards the Hidden Valley.
Hidden Valley to Tukuche Base Camp
Hike along the rocky dusty trails to get to the base of our destination. Enjoy the shining lights off the snow along the Tukuche peak.
Acclimatization Day at Tukuche Base Camp
We will have our pre-climbing training for today. Our guides will teach us how to use the gears properly, how to breathe properly, and how to climb up and down with the help of a rope. We will also be planning for the upcoming climb.
Tukuche Base Camp to Hidden Valley
From The Tukuche Base Camp, it is an easy downhill trek back to the Hidden Valley. Enjoy the walk back with the views of the Tukuche, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and such other peaks en-route.
Hidden Valley to Marpha
Today, we will climb up the Thapa Pass before crossing it to descend again to get to the Yak Kharka. From there, hike downhill on a steep slippery trail to finally make our way back to the village of Marpha.
Marpha to Jomsom
Enjoy the morning in Marpha and later, hike up to the village of Jomsom to spend the night.
Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara
Get on an early flight to Pokhara! Check in at the hotel and stroll around the scenic place all day round. Pokhara is famous for Fewa Lake and its other natural sightseeing and adventure filled destinations.
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
Cover up 204.5 kilometers of land as we travel from Pokhara to Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway. Drive along the Trishuli River and enjoy your ride. Check-in at the hotel and then, rest for the day or stroll around the busy streets of Thamel.
Free day in Kathmandu
A free day for us! We will visit the remaining world heritage sites of the valley such as Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Bouddhanath. Also, shop for souvenirs for our loved ones.
After a fun-filled adventure, we will travel back to our respective endpoint with a promise to be back for more.
