Nepal, known also as the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is a South Asian country which boasts the presence of the highest peak in the world, the Mt. Everest. Situated between the large countries India and China, this small landlocked country has a unique topography and ancient heritage which makes it stand out in front of the rest of the world. Politically, it was ruled by the Shah dynasty from 1768 to 2008. On 28th May 2008, monarchy was abolished and federal multiparty representative democratic republic was established.
