Trip Overview

The Everest 3 Passes Trek 2025 by Nima Adventure is the ultimate high-altitude challenge in the Khumbu region, designed for experienced trekkers seeking a complete circuit of the Everest arena. This 18-day expedition traverses three of the highest navigable passes in the world—Renjo La (5,360m), Cho La (5,420m), and Kongma La (5,545m)—offering a more rugged and secluded alternative to the standard base camp route.

The journey provides unparalleled 360-degree vistas of four of the world’s eight-highest peaks: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. Beyond the technical passes, the itinerary includes legendary highlights such as Gokyo Ri, Everest Base Camp, and the sunrise from Kala Patthar, ensuring a comprehensive Himalayan experience that combines physical endurance with profound natural beauty.

Itinerary

Your adventure begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, where our representative will assist with your hotel transfer. On the second day, you will take a jeep to Ramechhap followed by a scenic flight to the mountain airstrip at Lukla. A short walk brings you to Phakding for your first night in the mountains.

The trek continues through rhododendron forests to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa capital. You will spend an essential acclimatization day here, featuring a hike to the Everest View Hotel to catch your first glimpse of the world's highest peaks.

Leaving the main trail, you will head west toward the traditional village of Thame and then to Lungden. Day 07 marks your first major challenge: crossing the Renjo La Pass (5,360m), which offers one of the most spectacular panoramas in the Himalayas before descending to the turquoise Gokyo Lakes.

After a sunrise hike to Gokyo Ri (5,357m) for vast views of the Ngazumpa Glacier, you will trek to Thagnak. On Day 09, you will tackle the Cho La Pass (5,420m), navigating a steep glacier traverse to reach Dzongla, followed by a pleasant walk to Lobuche the next day.

From Lobuche, you will reach Gorakshep and achieve the iconic goal of standing at Everest Base Camp (5,365m). Following a sunrise climb of Kala Patthar (5,545m), you will face the Kongma La Pass (5,545m)—considered the most difficult of the three—to reach the village of Chukung

.

The return journey winds through the famous Tengboche Monastery and back to Namche Bazaar. After a final descent to Lukla, you will fly back to Kathmandu for a farewell dinner before your final departure on Day 18.
