Mount Himlung (7,126m) is located in the remote and stunning Nar-Phu region, north of the Annapurna massif. This mountain is recognized as an excellent training climb, combining technical sections with manageable altitude, making it a highly rewarding expedition.

Mount Himlung

  • Day Highlight: Expedition start and final preparations.
  • Day Details: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400m) and transfer to your 5-star hotel. Day 02 includes the expedition briefing and final gear checks.
  • Accommodation: Hotel (5-star, B/B basis).

Altitude: 1,400m.

  • Day Highlight: The scenic trek through the restricted Nar-Phu area.
  • Day Details: Drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar (760m) and then onwards to Koto (2,600m). The trek progresses through Meta, Kyang, and the beautiful Phu Gaun (3,900m). Acclimatization is prioritized with a rest day at Phu Gaun (4,200m). Finally, trek to Himlung Base Camp (4,900m).
  • Accommodation: Hotel/Lodge/Camping.
  • Altitude: 4,900m.
  • Day Highlight: 16 days dedicated to climbing, rotations, and the summit push.
  • Day Details: This period is used for establishing camps, technical training, and the summit attempt on Himlung (7,126m). Daily weather reports and satellite phone communication ensure safety.
  • Accommodation: Camping. Individual high tents (North face/Kailas) provided for higher camps.
  • Altitude: Up to 7,126m.
  • Day Highlight: Rapid descent and city leisure.
  • Day Details: Trek swiftly back through Phu Gaun, Meta, and Koto. Drive from Koto back to Besisahar and then Kathmandu (1,400m). Enjoy a leisure day in Kathmandu before the transfer to the airport for final departure.
  • Accommodation: Lodge/Hotel.
  • Meal: Farewell Dinner included in Kathmandu.

4. Package INCLUDES: Comprehensive Expedition Support (USD 9850 /-)

The fee covers all necessary permits, premium guiding, and logistics.

  1. Guiding & Safety: Two experienced, licensed Sherpa guides (at least 04 times Himlung summiteer) per client. All wages, insurance, and equipment for Sherpa staff are covered. First Aid medical kits for the group and the staffs.
  2. Oxygen: 3 bottles of oxygen (4L each, including 1 emergency bottle) provided to each member. Latest model of Summit or Top out system mask and regulator.
  3. Permits & Fees: Peak royalty fee and climbing permit fee for Mt. Himlung. Nar Phu and Annapurna Conservation Area entry fee. Nar Phu Restricted Area permit fee. Trekking Permit (TIMS) and garbage deposit fees.
  4. Accommodation & Comfort: 4 nights hotel accommodation in 5-star hotel in Kathmandu on B/B basis. Individual box tent at Base Camp with double foam mattress and pillow. Heater provided at Base Camp for the dining room.
  5. Logistics: Land transportation from Kathmandu – Koto – Kathmandu. Arrival and departure transfer services to and from TIA. Per person 60kg baggage allowance carried by porter or mules.
  6. Food & Services: 3 meals a day during the trekking period. High standard food provided at Base Camp. Daily weather report services. Generator for back-up power.

Cost Excludes

5. Package EXCLUDES: Member’s Mandatory Responsibility

All clients must arrange the following items, with mandatory insurance being the most critical exclusion:

  1. Mandatory Insurance: Insurance covering both medical and high altitude evacuation costs (including high-altitude rescue and air evacuation) is mandatory.
  2. Travel Fees: Member’s international flight tickets. Nepal entry visa fee.
  3. Tips & Bonus: Summit bonus of minimum US$ 800 per climbing sherpa/guide. Tips for base camp staff (minimum US$ 200 per person).
  4. Personal Gear & Expenses: Personal climbing gears, clothing, and personal medical kit. Lunch and Dinner during your stay in Kathmandu. Items of personal nature, laundry expenses, tips, wifi/internet, etc..
  5. Contingency Costs: Any extra expenses arising out of unforeseen situations like natural calamities, political disturbances, or strikes. Extra transportation than displayed in the itinerary program.
