Everest Panorama Trek is targeted for the individuals with an interest to look and marvel at the mystical Everest, the highest peak in the world. The Everest region is home to various other peaks like the Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku among many others. The panorama trekking trail enters the Sagarmatha National Park, moves through dense rhododendron and oak forests and offers views of the pristine peaks all around.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu [1300m]

Arrival in the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, is followed by checking in to the hotel. You can relish authentic Nepali cuisine and rest adequately for the upcoming trek.

Day 2 Kathmandu- Lukla- Phakding (1300m-2610m)

An extraordinary flight to Lukla marks the beginning of this day. After observing scenic views of the mountains from above, we trek from Lukla to Phakding. The trail involves passing through village of Chaurikharaka, fields forests and streams to the village of Kusum Drargka and finally to Phakding where we end the day. 30 minutes flight. 5-6 hours trek.

Day 3 Phakding- Namche Bazaar (2610m- 3440m)

Namche Bazaar is the acclimatization point for all Everest related treks. From Phakding, we ascent upwards to the village of Chumoa. The trail then crosses the Monjo Khola and reaches the Monjo village. Through steep paths and forests the trail reaches the Nuptse- Lhotse wall through which Mt. Everest is seen majestically rising. Upon trans versing the Bhote Koshi river, we finally reach Namche Bazaar, the shopping hub for the Khumbu region of Nepal. 5-6 hours trek.

Day 4 Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar

Acclimatization is vital to ensure that one doesn’t get affected by AMS (Altitude Mountain Sickeness). Namche Bazaar acts as the perfect spot for this and this day can also be spent to trek to the museum nearby or observe the flora and fauna in this region. Particularly Namche Bazaar offers magnificent views of the highest peak in the world up close. A trek can also be done to the Khumjung which is full of slate houses and offers even more spectacular views of Everest.

Day 5 Namche Bazaar- Tengboche (3440m-3857m)

The trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche is enjoyable. The trail passes through Phunki Thanhka consisting of water driven prayer wheels. From here we ascend upwards to the Tengboche Monastery through pine, oak, juniper and fir forests. Here too, the views of Everest will continue to hypnotize us. 5-6 hours trek.

Day 6 Tengboche- Namche Bazaar (3857m-3440m)

After witnessing the marvels of the Everest from Tengboche and visiting the age old monastery, we trek back slowly to Namche Bazaar and rest our aching muscles. 6-7 hours trek.

Day 7 Namche Bazaar- Lukla (3440m-2840m)

This day brings us back to Lukla following a trek. Upon reaching Lukla, we can reflect back upon the marvels of the pristine mountains that is seen through this village. 7-8 hours trek.

Day 8 Lukla- Kathmandu (2840-1300)

We once again embark upon the beautiful, scenic flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we can visit its various heritages and marvel upon the architectural capacity of Nepal’s ancestors.

Day 9 Departure

After an excellent trekking experience, it is time now to say goodbye to this impeccable nation only to plan more trips on our way back home.
