Trip Overview

Mera Peak (6,461m) is Nepal’s highest permitted trekking peak, offering an exhilarating challenge for adventurous trekkers and aspiring mountaineers. Located in the Makalu Barun National Park, this 16-day expedition takes you through the remote and pristine Hinku Valley. The journey begins with a scenic flight to Lukla, followed by a trek across the Zatra La Pass (4,600m), providing stunning views of the Numbur Himal and Konde Ri.

The route is carefully planned with multiple acclimatization days in Thagnak and Khare to prepare your body for the high altitude. From the Mera High Camp (5,780m), climbers are rewarded with one of the finest panoramic views in the world, featuring five of the earth’s six highest peaks: Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga. This peak is technically straightforward but physically demanding, making it the perfect gateway to high-altitude Himalayan climbing.
