Detailed Lhotse Expedition Itinerary (Content Blocks)

  • Day Highlight: Expedition start and essential preparation.
  • Day Details: Arrive at Kathmandu Airport 1,350 and transfer to your 4-star hotel. Day 02 is a rest and preparation day for assignment and briefing.

  • Accommodation: 4 Nights hotels accommodation in 4 star hotel in Kathmandu on B/B basis.
  • Meal: Breakfast (Day 02).
  • Day Highlight: Active rest to aid altitude adjustment.
  • Day Details: Walk to the Everest view Hotel and visit the Hilary and Sherpa museums. This helps with acclimatization.

  • Meal: 3 meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner with tea/coffee).

4. Package INCLUDES: Comprehensive Full Board Service

The US$17,500 Full Board service ensures a fully supported expedition, covering all major logistics, safety requirements, and government fees.

  1. Guide, Sherpa & Safety: One experienced, licensed, and at least 05 times Lhotse Summiteer Climbing/Expedition Guide (Sherpa) per client (1:1 ratio).
  2. Oxygen Supply: 6 Bottles of Poisk Oxygen per member. Includes the latest model of Summit or Top out system mask and regulator. Emergency Oxygen, mask, and regulator provided on requirement of guest with appropriate charge.
  3. Permits & Fees: Expedition Royalty and climbing permit of Nepal Government to climb Mt. Lhotse. Trekking Permit (TIMS card) and Everest National Park entry fee. Ice fall charges by Sagarmatha Pollution Control Committee (SPCC).
  4. Staff Welfare: All wages, equipment, medical, and accidental insurances for all involved staff in trekking and expedition. Equipment allowances and wages for Climbing Sherpa’s, cooks, kitchen boys and Government Liaison Officer.
  5. Logistics: Arrival and departure transfer services to and from both Domestic and International flight. Scheduled Flight Tickets for Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu for all members and staff. Heli transfer from Basecamp to Lukla.
  6. Accommodation: 4 Nights hotels accommodation in 4 star hotel in Kathmandu on B/B basis. Each expedition member will have an individual tent available in the ABC. All tents for camp 1, 2, 3 and 4 for members and staff.
  7. Food: 3 meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinners with tea/ coffee) in available tea house/hotel/lodge during the trekking, base camp and camp II. All food and fuel for Base Camp and higher camps during expedition.
  8. Equipment & Services: Common climbing equipment (fixed and main rope, ice bars, ice screws, snow bar etc). Daily Weather Report Services. Medical consultation services at the base camp with the HRA clinic. Generator for lighting power and charging electronic tools. Heater provided at base camp for heating the dining room.

5. Package EXCLUDES: Member’s Mandatory Responsibility

These essential items are the responsibility of the expedition member:

  1. Mandatory Insurance: Travel Insurance, Medical Insurance covering all medical expenses, and emergency rescue evacuation.
  2. Gratuities/Tips: Summit bonus for Climbing Sherpa Guides (minimum US$1,500 per Sherpa). Tips for base camp and camp II kitchen staffs (US$350 per person).
  3. International Travel: Member’s international flight tickets. Nepal entry visa fee (Visa issuance on arrival in Kathmandu).
  4. Personal Gear: Personal climbing gears, clothing, packing items or bags, and personal medical kit. Nepal custom duty for import of expedition goods.
  5. Personal Expenses: Lunch and Dinner during your stay in Kathmandu (except for the farewell dinner). Any packed food/snacks, aerated drinks, energy drinks, alcohol, etc. during the trekking. Laundry expenses, usage of satellite phone and Internet.
  6. Contingency Costs: Any extra expenses arising out of various/unforeseen situations like natural calamities, political disturbances, or extra transportation.
